#ThankfulThursday gives the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation a regular opportunity to recognize and thank the important individuals, businesses and organizations in our community that help to make a difference to the quality and effectiveness of our local healthcare system.

Debbie Beal and the Vicki’s Wish Bracelets team make $2,200 donation to BCHS Foundation

Thank you Debbie Mummery Beal, and volunteers Margaret Standish, Carol Heath along with Lynn Gowans (absent from photo) for their donation of $2,200 to the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation on Jan. 14.

This incredibly generous donation was made to the BCHS Foundation to support the patients and families visiting the Brant Community Cancer Clinic, and was raised from local sales of Vicki’s Wish Bracelets by local artisan Debbie Beal, along with help from her family and volunteers, community supporters of The Closet Door, and also sold in-store at Serenity Country Candles, Wylde Rose Handmade Soaps and Moonshadows Metaphysical Shop in Brantford and The Art Emporium in Port Stanley.

Vicki’s Wish Bracelets are crafted in memory of Debbie Beal’s niece, Vicki Swick, who lost her battle to colon cancer in May, 2016. Each piece is uniquely hand-crafted and comes complete with a presentation

box for just $5.
