#ThankfulThursday gives the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation a regular opportunity to recognize and thank the important individuals, businesses and organizations in our community that help to make a difference to the quality and effectiveness of our local healthcare system.
This week’s Thankful Thursday features:
The BCHS Volunteer Association
The BCHS Volunteer Association‘s history of giving dates back to the hospital’s birth in 1912, and over the past 30 years, the Association has contributed over $2.9 million and has impacted 12 different areas of patient care, making them the BCHS Foundation’s second largest donor.
On April 18, the Volunteer Association made their latest donation to the BCHS Foundation with a generous cheque for $74,000 to benefit local healthcare at the BCHS. The funds were raised through Gift Shop sales at the Brantford General, lottery sales, the weekly vendor program and regular special events throughout the year. Thank you for this incredibly generous donation!
The Volunteer Association directly impacts patient-centred care at the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) daily and their compassion and dedication is gratefully appreciated by all of us at the BCHS.
If you are interested in volunteering, you can download an application form from the BCHS Volunteer Engagement information portal at bit.ly/BCHSvolunteers, or by calling Kari Astles at Volunteer Services at 519-751-5544, extension 2276.
Please join us in April as we celebrate Volunteer Month by thanking a BCHS Foundation Board member in our community for the valuable service they deliver to the patients and families visiting the Brant Community Healthcare System.
