#ThankfulThursday: Queensview Retirement Community stops by with surprise gift for Family Birthing Centre

Thankful Thursday - Queensview Retirement Community

#ThankfulThursday gives the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation a regular opportunity to recognize and thank the important individuals, businesses and organizations in our community that help to make a difference to the quality and effectiveness of our local healthcare system.

This week’s Thankful Thursday features:

Queensview Retirement Community stops by with surprise gift for Family Birthing Centre

A Thankful Thursday THANK YOU to Queensview Retirement Community for their support for local healthcare and the youngest patients of the Brant Community Healthcare System.

On Thursday, April 18, Queensview Retirement Community staff stopped by with a bag filled to the brim with 40 pre-packaged tiny, hand-knitted hats of varying sizes for the newborn patients of the Family Birthing Unit at the BCHS.

Hats are especially useful tools for our specialized Family Birthing Unit staff, who often need to care for premature babies that can require constant, delicate temperature monitoring and adjustment within the hospital’s paediatric unit.

Queensview Retirement Community is a regular contributor to Foundation events and was most recently the Presenting Sponsor of the BCHS Foundation’s Ladies Night Out in Paris on April 3 that raised over $34,000 for women’s health at the BCHS.

Thank you, Queensview Retirement Community. You are our Thankful Thursday recipients for the week of Thursday, April 25, 2019.

If you or your organization would like to learn more about how you can support local healthcare, please contact the BCHS Foundation office at 519-751-5510 or email foundation@bchsys.org.
