“Here at the Brant Community Healthcare System, we have a group of 10 consultant Pediatricians who are committed to providing exceptional around the clock care for children from infancy to 18 years.” explains Dr. Jessica Dooley, Consultant Pediatrician and Chief & Medical Director of Pediatrics at the BCHS.
The BCHS has a Level 2b Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) supporting infants as young as 32 weeks and a Level 2 Pediatrics unit with 8 inpatient beds and surge capacity for 12.
“Our Pediatric Acute Referral Service (PARS) and Bilirubin outpatient clinics saw nearly 3,000 pediatric patients in 2022.”, adds Dr. Dooley. “That’s a 400% increase from 2019, showing that there is a big need for these services in our community”.
