The Brant Community Healthcare System’s $10-million Family Birthing Centre is now open and serving families in our community.
The 19,000 square foot Family Birthing Centre,located on the third floor at the Brantford General site, has 5 large labour and delivery birthing suites, an operating suite and recovery area, a triage room, two assessment rooms and 11 spacious private rooms and two semi-private post-partum rooms.
Our new state-of-the-art Family Birthing Centre offers exemplary family-centred maternal and newborn care. Each birthing suite is fully-equipped with advanced patient equipment, supporting the whole birthing process in one room. The post-partum rooms provide a more comfortable stay for new mothers and their support network, and allows the baby to be with the family throughout their stay.
