Local artist gives back to BCHS Foundation

Local artist, Daniel Cairo, gives back
In photo from right: Grateful patients Daniel Cairo and daughter Maria Victoria made a donation of $2,000 to Dr. Walter Pawliwec of the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) on Jan. 20. The cheque represents the gratitude the Cairo family felt for the quality of the healthcare services provided by the BCHS. The donation was made possible by funds raised from their holiday calendar program.

Local artist gives back to BCHS Foundation

To show his appreciation of the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS), local artist Daniel Cairo sold a 2018 ‘Brantford the Telephone City’ calendar featuring a collection of his impressionist oil paintings of local buildings and landmarks.

“Dr. Pawliwec and the staff at the BCHS saved my daughter’s life,” said Daniel. “I created this calendar as a way to give back, it is the very least I can do to repay them for the great quality of care we received.”

One hundred limited edition calendars were printed raising $2,000 to support patient equipment needs at the BCHS Foundation. Due to the success of this program, Daniel and his family are hoping to repeat their donation in December, 2018.

Thank you Daniel and the Cairo family for their wonderful gift. Together, we are transforming healthcare in our community!
