Meet Ann Lee, a dedicated and caring Environmental Service Aide (ESA) at Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) who has worked at the Brantford General Hospital (BGH) for 13 years. Ann has spent the majority of her time working in the Emergency Department and recently relocated to Labour and Delivery.
“I am proud to work at BCHS and very glad to work here,” said Ann. “We play a key role in stopping the spread of disease”.
The Environmental Services Department keeps everything safe, clean and sterilized at BCHS making the hospital sites safe for patients, visitors and staff. Environmental Services impacts every area of BGH and The Willett. It is a very busy department with a strong, reliable team that keep things moving in such a fast-paced environment.
“Our ESAs are a hardworking and friendly team,” Ann said. “We do the job because we care – we care that our job is done well and we care about patients. We provide an extra set of eyes and ears for doctors and nurses, and we are able to get help when someone needs it.”
BCHS is fortunate to have Ann on its exceptional staff team! She was recently nominated by her colleagues and received a Thumbs Up Employee Recognition award for her wonderful approach. According to her nominator, “Ann is a pleasure to work with and always willing to help. Her work is outstanding and she always has a smile on her face. She is approachable, and I know I can ask her anything and she will gladly help.” Thank you Ann!
