HUB International Brantford donates $2,500 to support pediatric care at the BCHS

On April 5, 2022 the HUB International Brantford team presented a $2,500 donation to the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) Foundation.  This generous donation is the first installment of a $5,000 commitment toward the renovation of the pediatric clinic at the Brantford General site.

The BCHS Emergency Department (ED) sees 8,000 pediatric patients annually.  This clinic is an ED avoidance strategy, promoting quick care and enabling community physicians, midwives and nurse practitioners to refer acutely ill children that may require specialized care to the Pediatrician on-call at the hospital.

Serving as a multi-use space, the clinic allows for timely newborn jaundice assessments and treatment in the Bilirubin (‘Bili’) Clinic as well as urgent and emergent pediatric assessments.

This pediatric clinic is vital to the Newborn Care program, Pediatric Acute Care program and Pediatric Quick Care program.  The Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation is so grateful to HUB International for their generosity and community leadership.
