Jamie Stephens - Thankful Thursday

#ThankfulThursday gives the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation a regular opportunity to recognize and thank the important individuals, businesses and organizations in our community that help to make a difference to the quality and effectiveness of our local healthcare system.
This week’s Thankful Thursday features:

Jamie Stephens

A heartfelt thank you to Jamie Stephens and his company Jamie Stephens Events for the many years of dedicated support he has given to the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) Foundation.

Jamie Stephens is one of the BCHS Foundation’s most consistently active regional supporters of local healthcare. Many of Jamie’s annual events have a charitable healthcare-focus with funds being directed to patient equipment purchases and Cancer Care patients and families at the BCHS.

The Brantford Comedy Festival, held annually at The Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts, is consistently a sold-out event attracting over a thousand visitors and some of the best comedians to Brantford, including Jon Dore, Debra DiGiovanni, Tom Green, Sean Cullen, Nikki Payne, Derek Edwards, Colin Mochrie, Jeremy Hotz and Steven Wright. The BCHS Foundation is the charitable recipient of funds from 50-50 ticket sales at these annual events, which is now in its ninth year.

Jamie’s Compassion Through Comedy program gifts complimentary tickets to his events to the patients and families of the Brant Community Cancer Clinic.

Most recently, Jamie was responsible for partnering with the BCHS Foundation for Catch the Ace, an OLG-approved progressive jackpot charity draw with 50% of weekly ticket sales being directed to local healthcare at the BCHS. Tickets can be purchased weekly through six local community businesses, online through @BrantNow’s Catch the Ace ticket portal or through the BrantNow app available for smartphones.

Thank you, Jamie, for all that you do!

Jamie Stephens is our Thankful Thursday celebration recipient for the week of July 2.
