2019 Mayor’s Gala Raises funds for Emergency Department Redevelopment at the BCHS

The Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation is thrilled to share that the Mayor’s Office of the City of Brantford has raised a remarkable $72,814.04 from the 13th Mayor’s Gala.  Appreciation goes to the many sponsors, event contributors and participants for this successful event held on October 19th, 2019.  Funds from this event have been directed to support the redevelopment of the Emergency Department (ED) at the Brantford General.

This project will see the Emergency Department more than double in size and provide a space to allow caregivers to deliver essential care to the more than 58,000 patients treated by the ED each year.  The project will require the BCHS Foundation to raise 10% of the construction costs, as well as funds necessary for furnishings and all patient equipment – an estimated $7 million. Thank you Mayor Davis and the 2019 Mayor’s Gala Organizing Committee for this record-breaking success!
