The Brant County Organ Donor Awareness Bonspiel kick off raises over $1,000 that will go to the BCHS Foundation.

The 20th annual Brant County Organ Donor Awareness Bonspiel was held at the Brantford Golf & Country Club on Saturday, April 5th to kick off Organ Donor Awareness month and bring attention to the need for more locals to register at beadonor.ca. One person dies every third day waiting for a transplant. Only 30% of local residents 16 and over have registered and the touching stories told by the six transplant recipients at lunch reinforce the fact that one donor can save up to 8 lives. Tissue donation included would bring the total possible individuals helped to 50. Over $1,000 will go to the BCHS Foundation.
