Physiological Monitors – $30,000 each
A physiological monitor, or bedside patient monitor, allows caregivers to monitor a patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen level, and other specialized hemodynamics continuously in real-time. The monitors are programmed with special alarm features that alert staff to immediate problems a patient may have and allow for quick intervention.
Monitors are also connected to a central monitoring system that is stationed at the communication station (nursing station). This allows staff to have a continuous visualization of the patient’s vital signs, even when the nurse or healthcare professional is not at the immediate bedside.
