12 Days of Giving: December 1 – 14, 2015
During the holiday season, the BCHS Foundation is grateful for our donors that are positively impacting patient-centred care here in our community. It is through the generosity of our many wonderful donors, like you, that the BCHS Foundation has been able to fund the purchase of critical pieces of patient equipment to support our healthcare system.
The equipment supported by donor dollars isn’t all “nice to have” – it is essential, much-needed equipment required to perform daily medical diagnostics and care for our patients. Items such as patient simulators, ventilators, video glidescopes, critical care beds and even a navigator GPS are all urgently needed. Funding for this equipment is not provided by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, but rather from generous corporations, community groups, foundations and individuals who care to maintain and improve our community’s health.
Each day, from December 1 to December 14, the BCHS Foundation will share a different story and unique video, reflecting on a patient or caregiver’s experience and highlighting the essential pieces of patient equipment that are urgently needed at the BCHS.
We hope the stories from individuals, families and caregivers who have been supported by the BCHS will help our community to understand the necessity for donor dollars and critical patient equipment. Each story highlights a different experience, sentiment and appreciation for the exceptional care, attention and support received at the BCHS.
The Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation is committed to raising critical funds to support the top priority needs for The Brantford General Hospital and The Willett, Paris. Support of the BCHS Foundation helps purchase medical equipment that is not paid for by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, provide essential resources to maintain the exceptional level of compassionate care and invest in new and innovative technology.
